The Rainbow Bridge

Marking 'The Mountie Store' on Falls Avenue, this 'officer' stands guard near the New York State-bound entrance to 'The Rainbow Bridge'.

Niagara families from both sides of the border have used this bridge since it opened in 1941.

The 'Rainbow' bridge is geared to local traffic. 'The Peace Bridge' further south, and 'The Queenston-Lewiston Bridge' further north both handle more commercial trade.
